This past
summer, after my trip to Costa Rica, I felt God leading me to another mission
trip. I had been talking to Mr. Clinton White, who works with International
Teams about a trip to Ukraine. After praying about it, I feel led to go for 4 weeks
this summer. International Teams’ vision is “transformed
lives and communities by the power of God”.
Their Mission is bringing people together to help the oppressed. Who are the oppressed? They have identified three types of
oppression: Financial, Physical, and Spiritual.
In other words, they bring people together to help the poor, the slave,
and the lost.
While I am in Ukraine, I will:
While I am in Ukraine, I will:
- Work mostly with Ukrainian Summer Youth and Children Camps.
- Attend summer camp with the youth group from Mr. Clinton’s church.
- Work at a Day Camp where I will teach English to children and participate in the other activities such as arts and crafts, games, sports, swimming, movies, etc.
- Serve other ministries in town such as showing God’s love to abandoned babies at a children’ s hospital, working with gypsy children in a village, providing meals for street kids, and providing services to Muslim refugees (teaching English, playing with kids, delivering or preparing meals.)
- If time allows, meet and work with IMB missionaries in nearby in Hungary.
The total cost of the trip is $2,000.00. My airfare ticket will be around $1,200.00. The cost of my stay in Ukraine for 1 month will be $745.00. I would love to meet with you in the next week or so to talk about how you can be a part of this ministry.
Would you commit to pray for me?
- Pray for me, that God will develop His gifts in me, and show me through this experience my part in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19.)
- Pray for wisdom and guidance for my team leaders as they prepare for my time of ministry with them.
- Pray for love and unity on the team while living and working in the "fishbowl" of cross-cultural ministry and team life.
- Pray that those around me will see in my life that God is alive and He gives hope and purpose.
- Pray for spiritually prepared and responsive hearts in those I meet, resulting in salvation.
- Pray for good communication and cooperation with the national Christians with whom I will be working with.
Thank You,
Tonya Teasley
